HERE IS THE BACKGROUND TO WHY THE POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING INVOLUNTARY MANSLAUGHTER IN THE CASE OF MY SON NICHOLAS
On August 23, 2021, Nicholas was called for a COVID vaccination by the Gastroenterology and Liver Unit at Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital in Gothenburg. The healthcare providers gave no information about the risks that the vaccination might entail, despite the Patient Act stating that this should be done, and despite the fact that on July 9, 2021, WHO had issued directives to healthcare providers to warn about myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) and pericarditis (inflammation of the heart’s lining) in connection with COVID vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna.
The vaccination appointment was arranged by a nurse through a phone call with us parents, and the vaccination was administered by other nurses without any mention of possible side effects. After the second dose, Nicholas developed a fever of 40°C, but we were not informed that this could be an abnormal symptom or a sign of inflammation.
During the summer, the Swedish Pediatric Association had recommended an individual assessment for children who had undergone transplants, but this was not done in Nicholas' case. Even though he had been medication-free and completely healthy since the age of one and was 13 years old at the time of the vaccination, placing him in a risk group for heart inflammation, the vaccination was administered without an individual assessment.
On October 6, 2021, two days after Nicholas received his second dose of Moderna’s COVID vaccine, the Swedish Public Health Agency stopped the use of this vaccine for people born in 1991 and later, citing that the vaccine increased the risk of heart inflammation in this age group compared to Pfizer.
Children are generally less affected by severe COVID infections, and statistically, the risk of side effects from the vaccine was greater than the risk of severe complications from the virus in this age group.
Dr. Björn Hammarskjöld, Dr. Ann-Cathrin Engwall, and an American pediatric cardiologist have reviewed Nicholas’ medical records. Independently of each other, they concluded that his heart infection and sepsis were likely caused by vasculitis, probably triggered by Moderna’s COVID vaccine. This vasculitis could have increased the permeability of blood vessels and made the heart more susceptible to bacterial infection.
Nicholas had undergone heart surgery after birth and a liver transplant at six months old, but he had been medication-free and healthy since the age of one, making him one of the few transplanted children without the need for medication. He was in good health until he developed the heart infection at 13 years old.
As mentioned, the Swedish Pediatric Association recommended an individual assessment of transplanted children before COVID vaccination, but this was not done in Nicholas' case. Following a decision by the attending physician, all children were called for vaccination, including Nicholas, who regularly visited the hospital for blood tests.
During a phone call on May 2, 2022, with the section chief at the hospital, he initially claimed that the children’s records had been reviewed to identify any potential contraindications to the vaccine. When I asked what such a contraindication might be, he replied that “there really aren’t any,” and that allergic reactions are detected after the first dose. When I contacted Nicholas' cardiologist after his death, it emerged that they had not been consulted before the vaccination, and I have still not been able to reach the liver specialist.
Considering that Moderna’s mRNA COVID vaccine was halted for people born in 1991 and later just two days after Nicholas' second dose, healthcare personnel should have been aware that the vaccine could pose a risk for children who had undergone heart surgery but were deemed clinically healthy.
We have received a statement from a prominent American cardiologist, who, after reviewing Nicholas' medical records, believes that the most likely primary cause of Nicholas' death was Moderna’s COVID vaccine. The vaccine may have caused vasculitis, which made the blood vessels more permeable to bacteria, creating conditions for the heart infection. Nicholas was fully healthy at the time and had no other known factors, such as dental issues or wounds, that could explain how the infection occurred. The COVID vaccine is therefore the only relevant event in the near term that can be linked to his illness. We parents are in full agreement that we certainly would not have consented to Nicholas' COVID vaccination if we had been warned about the risks of heart inflammation.
